A Top table exercise that had Royal PNG Police Constabulary, PNG Defence Force, Australian Federal Police and Defence Force working together in the exercises to better security strategies for the APEC 2018.
The exercise included Maritime, Air and Land.
It also allowed the Joint Security forces to see where they need assistance from the Australian Defence force and other security partners.
Major General Paul McLachlan said the Australian defence force was always pleased to be a part of such exercise to see where they can best assist.
The first of the upcoming APEC 2018 meeting will be in December this year leading up to the leaders summit in November 2018.
