Singirok Currently in the Lead for Madang Regional

Pangu Party candidate, Jerry Singirok, has taken over the lead in count 54 of the Madang Regional counting at midday yesterday.

Singirok was running on the third spot since counting started last Thursday.

He was running behind former Madang Governor, James Yali and the former Usino-Bundi MP, Peter Yama.

The former Major General collected 2132 votes after count 54 from the first two boxes of the 15 boxes from Karkar LLG of Sumkar District.

Sumkar District is the base vote for Singirok.

After count 64 this afternoon Jerry Singirok is still leading with 33,730, running second is National Alliance candidate James Yali with 23, 187 and People’s Labour Party candidate Peter Yama is following closely behind with 22,998.

Meanwhile, incumbent Madang Governor, Jim Kas, is in the third spot with 13,704 votes.
