Moresby South Mock Counting Cancelled

Moresby South counting officials were sent home today at 3pm after mock counting was cancelled.

The electorate does not have a designated location allocated for counting after KilaKila Secondary School administrations said no.

It is not confirmed that counting will start tomorrow. EMTV was asked not to film a speech by the Returning Officer.

The Moresby South mock counting at the Kila Kila Secondary School was cancelled today.

The Electoral Commission says ballot papers ran out at the Rita Flynn courts.

Assistant Election Manager for NCD Bale Kavanamur explained to that to counting officials and then said they will watch a video instead.

There were further delays again, before authorities came out telling the counting officials that the Secondary school’s administration has asked for the counting venue to be moved.

This is due to the School terms are starting next week.

The Electoral Commission is in talks with the PNG Defence Force to use a venue to start counting.
