Zeming Supports Wellbeing Program

PNG Hunters Captain, Noel Zeming, has said the NRL Wellbeing Pilot Program, launched at the Waigani Primary School yesterday is a significant stepping stone to improving the health of young Papua New Guineans.

The program is aimed at creating inclusive development for primary school aged children.

Graduate teacher and current star player for the PNG Hunters Noel Zeming encouraged this program as it will go a long way to shape these children’s lives.

Zeming said the incorporation of the Wellbeing program into the education system is important as students will learn the importance of healthy living on a daily basis

Based on Physical Activity, nutrition and mental wellness, these young children will grow into a healthy adult lifestyle.

NRL Pacific Programs Manger Michael Asensio said this is an effective method to spread the word of Eating, Living and Playing well in the classrooms using well-known names in rugby.

Meanwhile, Waigani Primary School Principal Moses ModeKewau highlighted the need for discipline as students ‘behavior is now a problem and he believes this program will instill discipline in them.
