YWAM begins 2013 Medical Operations

The team comprises volunteers and Medical trainees from Townsville Australia to provide medical assistance tothe people of Western and Gulf Provinces.  

The team arrived overthe weekend in Port Moresby where 12 ofthem are housed by former Member for Kairuku Hiri Paru Aihi.

It was all smiles asthe youths were greeted by host Mr Aihi at his home. The truck load of cargoes indicatedthe long journey ahead. The youths comprise 8 girls and four boys.

Youth With A Mission Coordinator Hannah Peart said fifty people came to rendertheir services.

Another YWAM Youth whose here for the third time is Anna Scott. She will be working for three months inthe Gulf Province. She highlighted some ofthe common diseases found inthese parts ofthe country.

These youths are currently accommodated bythe Former Member for Kairuku Hiri Paru Aihi. He says he is billeting twelve youths at his residence asthe YWAM Program promotes youth development and health care. Some ofthe outreaches will be conducted inthe Kairuku District.

The rest ofthe YWAM Team will set sail for the Gulf of Papua on Friday  to beginthe six-months Medical Operations.
