Youth Centre Simbu

Youths in Simbu Province have been left out of essential youth services overthe past fifteen years.

  

 A ceremony was held this week to officiatethe ground breaking of construction work atthe site wherethe centre is to be.

Hundreds gthered in front ofthe Simbu Provincial Government to withnessthe ceremony.

Youth Commissioner Norit Luio and his officers were given a rousing welcome by Simbu Governor Noah Kool and his administration.

The launching ofthe ground breaking ceremony is a significant step in mobilizingthe youths ofthe province.

Principal Advisor for Community Development Palma Goka saidthe center is an enabling environment to support youths.

The ceremony coincided withthe closure of a 2 week self-management course facilitated by Youth consultant Dr Michael Unage. 

Youth Commissioner Norit Luio saidthe centre is a coordination point for Simbu youths. 

Commissioner Luio added that youth empowerment policies will roll-out fromthe centre for youths to participate meaningfully inthe community.

Simbu Governor Noah Kool said this new development is an indication of improving youths to have a better future.

The Youth Friendly centre will be built in a central location inthe province.
