Yoga For Life Offers Free Self Defense Classes

Muay Thai classes on self-defense, are being taught for free to the public, as part of the Yoga Walk for Life program at the Taurama Aquatic Center in Port Moresby.

More than 300 participants are gathering for free, to learn the sport of Muay Thai.

They are part of four separate activities at the sports center; a venue hired by YUMI YET Limited, as part of the Governor’s Yoga Walk for Life program.

Their instructor is Thomas Kagili of Chuave in Chimbu Province, an undefeated Muay Thai champion with 15 Professional fight wins, and zero losses.

He says the entry is free for all the public to attend three days a week, where his self-defense methods, help both men, and women.

The Kickboxer is a true believer of discipline and wants his participants to quit the bad habits of smoking and chewing betelnut, to be true Martial Artists

Michael Langapu, is like all the other school-aged children who turn up to train. He says he didn’t make it in the formal education system but has found his calling, in the Art of Muay Thai.

Langapu now trains women, and also sees improvements in his suburb of Hohola.
