Yamo Set for World Title Fight

World Kickboxing Champion Rickson ‘Powerhouse’ Yamo announced this week that he has signed with Thunderlegs Kickboxing and Promotions to fight for a vacant WKF K1 66.8kg World Title.

The fight is scheduled for April 30 in Sydney, Australia against Indonesian opponent, Onli Mukhils.

Taking up the primary fight, Yamo said he is assured of a successful tournament and confident about two other fighters he will be taking along.

Local boys John Ake and Bostany Elo, who train under the watchful eye of senior fighter Yamo, will be fighting for the vacant 75kg world title and in the South Pacific 72.3 kg categories respectively.

The fighters began training on Monday this week and will be travelling to Sydney on April 28.
