Chief Superintendent Fred Yakasa was arrested, questioned and charged yesterday.
He was arrested at the Court House around 10.30am yesterday morning and taken to the Police headquarters at Konedobu for further questioning.
Yakasa was arrested in relation to the blockade at Parliament house last month following the Supreme Court Ruling to reinstate Sir Michael Somare as Prime Minister.
