World Cup Managers off on a valuable learning experience

The four venue general managers, appointed by the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, Local Organising Committee, departed today for Jordan.

Footballer Emmanuel Popoitai, will join three women from the LOC on a 7 day feedback program to the U17 Women’s World cup in Jordan, on a valuable learning experience.

The program is part of the FIFAs commitment to involve more women in its administrative process.

The most senior of the four, Former Women’s international and coach, Frederica Sakette, had initially described her appointment as icing on the cake’ in her career.

For Toka Kini-Aua, the trip to Jordan will provide a valuable insight for her in how operations at the top level can be done.

Another of the three women Managers, Grace Yohang- Mataio, is also eager to learn as much as she can.

Emmanuel Popoitai, a footballer with Port Moresby-based, Rapatona FC, feels privileged for the opportunity given.

The four depart via Asia and will return after 7 days.
