Team Juffa, a group of 15 women from Northern Province, has finally arrived in Port Moresby to participate in the 2015 Women in Business Exposition.
The team, though arriving one week late, are happy to represent Northern Province, and showcase their tapa products, a well-known Northern cultural design.
Today marks one week of the expo, an expo that has brought together, many business minded women from all parts of Papua New Guinea together.
For this determined Northern women, representing their province in this expo is an achievement in itself.
The expo showcases four different categories, which are arts and crafts, fresh produce, sewing and catering.
Leah Kova, is specialized in weaving bilums particularly with PNG’s National Flag colour of Black, Gold and Red.
She said though there was not a good turnout of customers, the exposure gave her an opportunity to display her products.
The expo will end on the weekend.
