Toea Wisil continued her remarkable performance in the recent Oceania Championships in Cairns, and earned her a spot in the World Championships.
Wisil won the 100m Finals by several metres, on Sunday, at the Oceania Championships in Cairns.
Her time of 11.41 seconds is her second best ever. Her personal best is 11.40 seconds.
It was a big surprise given that she has gone back into a heavy training block after the Australian Championships.
There was also an illegal wind of 2.9m per second providing assistance. The legal limit is set by the International Association of Athletic Federations, at 2mps.
Wisil’s win in the 100m and 200m events give her automatic entry to the 2015 World Championships in Beijing in August.
