Wantoks on top spot

FC Wantoks cling on tothe top spot onthe NCD Football Competition ladder, after defeating City United 3 goals to 2 atthPNGIPA Grounds.

The Max Foster coached side pushed pasttheir opponents brushing aside a vocal crowd to record a win.

 

The clash between FC Wantoks and City United was a tough match but Wantoks edged outthe City dwellers by one point onthe final whistle.

 

Its round 2 ofthe NCD Football Association Competition andthe boys in red hadthe upper hand inthe opening minutes ofthe game having ball possession as City United trlied every attempt to take over.

 

Wantoks knew well it was anther win for their side and maintainedtheir performance.

 

Koriak Upaiga and Philadelphea Vela positioned inthe frontline and with good ball coordination inthe frontline, it made possible for Wira Wama to score.

 

Wantoks went intothe second half pushing hard but City were onthe alert this time around.

 

Onthe tally board, FC Wantoks still holding ontothe top spot with 26 points inthe Men&#39’s A- League, followed by City United 18, Simla 15, YFC Lion 19PNGIPA 14, Murat 12, Tarangau 11 points, Musa  on 6 points, Beria 5  and Morata Ruts running last with 2 points.
