The Waigani Christian School in Port Moresby will soon be relocated to a new area atthe Waigani Heights.
A double classroom has been built on land acquired and classesor students’have started atthe new centre.
This is wherethe original school started and it will soon be relocated. Established in 1993 with only 13 students’the number has increased to nearly a thousand enrolled this year. Waigani Christian School enrolls students’as young as 4years old.
The Lower primary students’are still usingthe old classrooms whilethe upper primary already moverd tothe new location.
Construction work is still progressing. Oncethe rest ofthe classrooms are builtoallthe students’will mover tothe new location.
Running for nearly twenty years,the school has involved its services withthe Waigani and Morata community. As part ofthe program,the School has extended its support tothe Morata Rugby League off-season.
Such community activities will strenthen relationships with neighboring community and Businesses. It will also changethe mindset ofthe youths.
Waigani Christian School looks forward to working withthe community sothe community can work withthem to take care ofthe school and its properties.
