18 priests from around Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands are currently in Goroka, to attend the Vangeke Institute Program.
The on-going program is in its eighth year, with this year’s theme: “Priest – Called to the fullness of Life and Love”.
Priests have so far engaged in several sessions including medical check-ups, counseling, computer skills and office recording.
Goroka Bishop and organizer, Bishop Dariusz, said the program is a time for the priests to reflect on their ministry as they interact and share moments of prayer with their brother priests.
The program was established by the Catholic Bishops Conference of PNG and the Solomon Islands in 2008.
The six-week program started in September and will end next month.
