U.S. Anti-Corruption Expert to visit PNG

A U.S. Anti-Corruption Expert will visit PNG in December. His visit will highlightthe commemoration ofInternational Anti-Corruption Dayon December 9.

Robert Cerasoli, an expert on anti-corruption topics, will be here to encourage continued progress onthe implementation ofthe ExtractiveIndustries TransparencyInitiative.

 

His main visit area will be in Port Moresby and Goroka on December 2-6.

 

He will interact with audiences from all sectors of society to discuss concepts ranging from professional ethics, to financial transparency.

 

Robert A. Cerasoli has a 44-year record of outstanding public service inthe U.S. Governmentoand he will be relating his experiences with sharing best practices for government-led anti-corruption agencies and investigation strategies.

 

Mr. Cerasoli will also havethe opportunity to meet withPNG’s leading journalists and bloggers to discusstheir role inthe fight against corruption, howthey can collaborate to protect each ther, andthe importance of building solid, thorough, and investigative reports.
