United Resources Party Raises K1.2M

Last night wasthe annual fundraising drive for United Resource party which saw a huge turn out from members and supporters.

The party raised K1.2 million fromthe fundraising drive. This money will go towards developingthe party and fund its nominated candidates inthe by-elections.

 

Showing commitment and support tothe coalition partner, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill acceptedthe invitation.

 

He wasthe guest of honour, and once again delivered a speech elaborating onthe government’s stability.

 

The leader of People’s National Congress party said people should judge politicians according to performance.

 

 

URP has 10 parliamentary members and over 50 thousand registered members.

 

Apart fromthe 1.2 million kina raised fromthe sale of tables, 3 auction sales fetched K20 thousand for the party.

 

Funds raised will go towards financially backing two URP nominated candidates inthe Madang and Ambunti-Drekikir by-elections.
