First time politician and Unionist, Michael Malabag has been called on to pursue the NPF Saga issue in Parliament.
The call comes from former President of the PNG Banks and Financial Institutions Workers Unions, Ruben Elijah.
Mr. Elijah said thousands of private sector workers and contributors of the former NPF lost 15 % of their savings as a result of stealing by politically appointed elites.
He said if Malabag pursues this issue and punishes these perpetrators according to law, it will do justice to the workers affected.
Mr. Elijah also congratulated Mr. Malabag’s win saying it is a victory for workers in the country.
