Port Moresby Basketball’s Team one, and Daru, have both qualified for the semi-finals of the U18 National Championships.
PMBL had four straight wins in their Pool A matches to go on top while Daru were two points off.
After three days of competition in Port Moresby, the hosts PMBL had easily shot off the mark, cruising to Big wins over Madang, Central, and Kerema.
The teams from the Nations Capital easily dominated their opponents with their class, and a home court advantage. Other centres like Mt Hagen, have also been impressive throughout the tournament, including Team Daru.
Joe Khalu, the Executive officer for Basketball PNG, is ecstatic with the enthusiasm and talent on show.
In the women’s division, the Port Moresby Women are on top, with Kerema, hoping to reach a spot in the semi-finals. Simbu and Madang Provinces were forfeited due to non attendance.
The semi finals and grand final will commence on Saturday.
