The two months of dry season in Madang is taking its toll on people who depend on rainwater, especially for those living in and around the town areas.
Most have resorted to doing the dishes, bathing and doing their laundry at their nearest river or creek.
As for the cooking and drinking water, many are visiting their relatives, while others are going to schools to fetch water from the water supply from teachers’ houses.
According to the locals the dry season in Madang should finish by the end of this month, but they feel that with the climate change, the dry season may either be extended or the rains may come early.
