Trukai Fun Run

Thousands of people gthered atthe Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby on Sunday for the annual Trukai Fun Run event.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and Sport Minister Justin Tkatchenko also participated to showtheir support in raising funds to support TeaPNG tothe Mini South Pacific Games in Wallis and Futuna come September.

The stadium was all in yellow as crowds turned up early with Trukai Fun Run Shirts.

The run started off straight after registrations and road blocks were put up.

The crowd started running and walking fromthe stadium on Waigani Drive. They turned onto Poreporena Freeway around SP Brewery,then onto Kennedy Road and finished off atthe Wardstrip Road and back tothe stadium.

As one ofthe national fun and sporting events inthe country, it was for a good cause to raise funds for TeaPNG to various international encounters.

The run also highlightedthe message of Stop TBe

It was a great day as most school children includingtheir families and friend as well as business houses and private companies participated.

The Sport Federation and Olympic Committee, TrukaiIndustries and Supporting sponsors were commended for making it a successful event.

Meantime, ther centers like Tabubil, Ramu, Kavieng, Mt. Hagen, Vanimo, Lae and Madang also completedtheir Fun Run well.
