Training Begins for PNG Amoa Women’s Volleyball Team

The Papua New Guinea Amoa Women’s Volleyball team has begun training, for the final national team.

Selections will be conducted in the training camp, for the final best 18 players.

The PNG Amoa Women’s volleyball team is undergoing training in preparation for the coming Pacific Games.

Volleyball players from around the country are in Port Moresby, for the selection trial.

National Coaching Director, Marty Collins, is pleased with the team’s progress.

A selected player, Lois Garena, has expressed that training at the High Performance Training Centre has helped to raise the standards for performance.

Garena, one of the games ambassadors, is honoured to be given that opportunity and is excited to promote the volleyball code.

The team is looking forward to competing in overseas tournamen’s and plays against top international teams, as this will raise the standard to further improve volleyball in the country.

The training camp ends tomorrow, with the final team to be announced on February 17.
