The Telefomin electorate in the West Sepik province is one of the least developed areas in PNG. Social indicators are low and locals live below the poverty line. But new Telefomin MP, Solan Mirisim, hopes to change the electorate.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, paid a 5-day visit to PNG, describing it as an experience of many communities and great energy and results.
