Thousand Rugby Fanatics Flood NFS in Provincial Colours

If dressing could kill, it would be the best description for rugby fans that turned up in style to support their team in the 2018 Rugby Competition played in Port Moresby.

And after hours of waiting in line, it was the Goroka Lahanis who defeated the Enga Mioks 10 points to 6 at full time.

As for the fans, supporting the Goroka Lahanis it means double celebrations.

The National Football Stadium was packed to its capacity with fans coming in from all parts of the city.

The supporters outside the stadium came in their full provincial colours to cheer their teams.

A fan said both teams have struggled to come this far in this competition and it will be a tough game.

The police dog unit was also there to provide security.

The entire area from the Boroko market to the Rita Flynn courts were packed with supporters.

There were many activities including face painting and people waving their provincial flags.
