Dandan Care Centre in East Sepik Province has received relief assistance presented by Telikom Foundation Inc, a non-profit organisation.
Following the launching of a donation box early this year, employees and business houses, through their generosity, have donated items, that were put together by TFI team, and delivered to the Islanders on Friday 25th May 2018. These donations included 50 bags of assorted clothing, food and toiletries.
The donations were delivered successfully with the support from Kumul Telikom Wewak Team, led by Mr. Danny Mota and his staff, the Provincial Disaster Committee Coordinator, Mr Derek Warakai in ensuring the delivery was made possible and given to the Dandan Care Centre. The donations that Telikom Foundation brought in were handed over to the community leaders at the Care Centre to be distributed to the islanders.
Telikom Foundation Coordinator Yolanda Bafmatuk while addressing the Islanders explained that TFI’s space is in education. “We brought what we could bring, what we think is needed in terms of food rations and other essentials. We are using this opportunity also to see how we may assist further”, Bafmatuk said. Telikom Foundation is here to give support, venturing out from its space being of education, to support and give hope to those in need.
Telikom Foundation would like to thank the following business houses for their partnership in making this relief effort a success; Kumul Telikom Holdings Ltd, Kumul Consolidated Holdings, Badili Second Hand, Paradise Foods Limited, Air Niugini and East Sepik Provincial Government.
