Telefomin MP pays tertiary students’fees

Member for Telefomin Solan Mirisim has embarked on a major human resource development project.

Mr. Mirisim has committed to paying school fees for all tertiary students’from his electorate aroundthe country.

He presented two cheques totaling K115, 000 to students’atthe University of Papua New Guineaon Wednesday.

His visitoto present a cheque of K95, 000 for Telefomin student’s tuition fees, and anther of K20, 000 presented tothe Sanduan Students Association.

On Tuesday, K27, 000 was presented totheInstitute of Business of Studies for students’studyingthere.

Mr Mirisim said education is atthe top of his agenda during his term.

Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Kenneth Sumbuk thankedthe member saying tuition fees are an important component of runningthe university.

Student lLeadersappreciatedthe assistance sayingthey will work hard intheir studies.

Overthe next two weeks,the member will travel to Universities and institutions aroundthe country to present schools fees for students’
