Team Simbu tothe 201PNG Games havetheir sights set onthe 2014 Games in Lae and have already started by acquittingtheir funds.
Chairman of team Simbu fundraising committee Steven Kilage announced that funds raised fromthe grass roots games was a total of K130, 000.
Out ofthe K130 000, K90, 000 was collected bythe Simbu provincial committee.
The balance will not be released until some form of acquittals’ fromthe provincial sports committee has been made.
Kilage saidthe remainder ofthe money will be used to purchase state ofthe art gym equipment for all youths in Simbu.
The equipment will be placed inthe Kundiawa catholic diocese where all sports men and women can benefit for a small fee.
