Team Central Taekwondo Trainer Clarifies Misunderstanding

With less than 92 days to prepare for the 6th BSP Games in Lae, Team Central’s Taekwondo trainer, John Aisi, has come out to clarify his stance on his Tang Soo Do Club’s student grading this weekend.

The current dual-instructor has apologised for the misinterpretation of information and stands by his role as an instructor and student of both disciplines of Taekwondo and Tang Soo Do.

In light of a recent misinterpretation with Team Central’s management, John Aisi, Team Central’s Taekwondo trainer, apologized for the misunderstanding that may have cost him his place on the team.

As a student and instructor of both martial arts disciplines of Taekwondo and Tang Soo Do, Aisi clarified that the set date for this Sunday at the Socay Training Institute for the Socay Martial Arts Club was a grading for his Tang Soo Do students and not a final selection for Team Central’s taekwondo squad.

As a mixed martial arts discipline, Aisi also confirmed that 9 of his Tang Soo Do students have competed in staged taekwondo events and have met the equal and necessary requirements to earn them a spot in Team Central’s selection.

With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Aisi hopes to assist the team and the athletes into medal contention in this year’s BSP PNG Games.
