Taekwondo fraternity pays respect to President

The Taekwondo fraternity in Port Moresby paid their last respect to their President Ower ILA at his funeral service yesterday.

Late ILA played a vital role in the development of the code by elevating its status as a gold medal sport for PNG for the 2015 Pacific Games.

He also brought stability, accountability and Pride back to the sport leaving a legacy of dreams to be full-filled with his ultimate goals of Taekwondo PNG.

Late Ila’s dream was for Taekwondo PNG to win over five gold medals at the 2015 Games, and PNG’s first medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

He will always be treasured by the Athletes, colleagues, friends and family.
