The official mascot of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup 2016 has started visiting schools yesterday.
St Therese was the first school Susa visited, where teachers and students gathered to give her a rousing welcome.
Students cheered as Susa made her way into the school grounds. Her visit coincided with the FIFA 11 for Health Legacy Program, currently being run in 16 schools within the nation’s capital.
St Therese Head Teacher, Christine Tsugu, says it was a privilege for the school to have Susa visit. She also says PNG is privileged to host such a large international tournament.
Susa will be visiting other schools in Port Moresby in the lead up to the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
The World Cup kicks off on the November 13, and ends on the December 3.
