Students raise funds for medical equipments

University of Papua New Guineafinal year medical students’were out atthe Waterfront FoodWorld, to raise funds for special medical equipment atthe Port Moresby General Hospital.

The equipment will be used inthe Emergency, Obstetrics and Gynecology Departments where most students’plan on working.

Vital Monitor and Pulse Oximeter are used to monitorthe functions of important organs such as heart and lungs. 

Students sawthe need and went out oftheir way to raise funds. Beth will cost more than K40, 000.00.

Atthe site; tags, mugs, tumblers, caps blended with school name and colour were on sale, even free medical checkout and health pamphlets were given out to customers who buzzed in for shopping.  

Plans are underway for ther fundraising events. Public are urge to come and supportthe fundraising as this goes to a worthy cause.
