Stingrays Stung CRU Select 15

Daru Stingrays werethe better side against CRU Select 15 side inthe Provincial Rugby Union Challenge, played at Beva Park.

The visiting team stungthe City dwellers inthe final showdown beatingthem 32 points to 24.

 

Beva Park renowned for hosting rugby union match was packed with fans and supporters.

 

CRU Select 15 in yellow and blue were intact dominated by Capital Rugby Union elit’s. The team was mandated and tasked to make sure CRU reigned supreme abover all.

 

There were notable Pukpuk players from CRU who played for the visiting Daru Stingrays, including currenPNG Pukpuks skipper Aron Miai.

 

These proverdtheir worth on field, making sure every opportunity was converted into points.

 

Stingrays worked aroundthe forwards gaining momentum to go passthe city boys to score. CRU bounced back but was short by 8 points.

 

After going down by one point inthe last match, Stingrays stung inthe match that matterthe most.

 

The clash between CRU and Daru Stingrays raised a lot of questions as CRU players made upthe Daru team to winthe challenge. The Southern Region side will now have more players to select from.
