State Funeral held for Late Justice Foulds

A state funeral was held today in Mt Hagen for the late resident Judge, Justice Terrence Harold Foulds.

The funeral service was attended by Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia, Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika, other senior Judges, Lawyers, Governor Paias Wingti, and Late Foulds wife.

His body was flown from Port Moresby to Mt Hagen this morning for the state funeral to be held, before being repatriated to Australia, where he will be flown to his home in Hobart.

Late Justice Harold Foulds passed away on the morning of September 17, 2018.  He died while serving a term of three years with the PNG Judiciary, as the Resident Judge of Mt Hagen.

Late Justice Foulds was appointed as the National and Supreme Court Judge in December 2016. During his appointment, he was the Senior Crown Council and civil litigation at the office of the Director of Public Prosecution, and the Solicitor General’s Litigation Division in Hobart, Tasmania.

Late Foulds is survived by his two children and his wife.
