Stanford Kawale, PNG’s Youngest Swimming Sensation

PNG’s youngest swimming sensation Stanford Kawale is back in the country with his family after two years of training.

Stanford, 18 years of age, is now training with the rest of his fellow swimmers at the Ela Murray International School, using the schools 25 meter pool.

The young swimmer is now back in the country and does his regular swimming trainings every Monday to Friday and gym training sessions on the weekends.

Stanford represented PNG at Fina World Championships in Spain, Pacific Games in New Caledonia

Stanford is looking forward to upcoming events following the 2015 Pacific Games hosted in Port Moresby

Stanford also says being a sports person you have to be committed and disciplined in order to achieve your goals. His message to other your swimmers or young sports men and women, was never let other people put you down or tell you that you can’t achieve your goals.

Stanford will be going back to Brisbane Australia to start University at the end the month so we wish him all the best with his studies and training preparations.
