Defense Minister Doctor Fabian Pok said soldiers involved in Sunday’s attack will be terminated fromthe force.
Three have been arrested includingthe driver ofthe vehicle that transportedthe soldiers tothe medical faculty. Their names or ranks have not been released but a full investigation is underway.
The minister called an urgent conference to clarifythe force’s stand onthe brawl on Sunday.
Dr. Pok was accompanlied bythe Chief of Staff andthe Commander. He describedthe incident as uncalled for and an embarrassment tothe force and country.
ThPNG Defense Force has swiftly stepped in to containthe problem.
The hierarchy said an investigation team has been tasked to clarifythe cause ofthe problem and identify those involved.
Dr. Pok also said a report of damages will also be collected.
Meantime, those involved inthe rampaging ofthe Manu Auto port service in 2011 are facingthe courts to date. Those involved in Sunday’s incident will go throughthe same process.
