Social Wearable That Can Connect You With Your Friends

With focus on providing easier and better communication networks for teens, Gemio has announced its formal launch of a new social wearable for the teens.

The social wearable is a smart friendship bracelet that connects real friends, in real life, and is believed to be first wearable designed particularly on self-expression and connecting friends.

The bracelet comes in different colours and allows the teens to connect their bracelets in person, to create a network of real life friends.

These bracelets can be personalised in two ways; (i) change detectable gems using an online design studio that connects via wireless sync and (ii) create lights effects from a palette of millions of colours using the MyGemioApp.

These created light effects can be used to communicate between their friends as well as send messages to friends in the form of light effects.

Michael Bettua Gemio, CEO and co-founder, said “Gemio is the future of connected jewellery for teens combining beautiful light effects and personalise design. It’s like no wearable you’ve seen before. Gemio sparkles with the twist of a wrist, or point it at an outfit and it changes colors to match.”

By combining the online world with the offline world, the new wearable provides a powerful new form of self-expression and communication opportunity for teen to use.

The wearable is another communication medium just like Facebook and Twitter.
