ThPNG Men’s National Snooker Titles cued off today withPNG Snooker Champ Djorne Fong aiming for his 7th National title atthe Port Moresby Country Club.
Fong will have to be at his best to take on his uncle, Peter Fong, and BeP Moresby Open winner Nathan Fong.
FelloPNG reps Arua Simoi, Willie Vaieke, Robin Charles, Noel Ramos, Roger Ng and Poliap Pokanau will need to stagetheir best frames against champion Fong.
Forty registered players were divided into eight groups, from whichthe top three players will advance tothe top 24. Eight losers will be eliminated for the top 16.
Quarter finals are expected on Saturday, followed by semifinals and finals on Sunday.
