With the four months extension to the 6th BSP PNG Games, Deputy Chairman of the Host Organising Committee, Dacca Wagai, told EMTV Sports today, that despite the inconvenience caused, this will give respective provinces ample time to get themselves prepared.

This also helps them to find sponsors, and those who are yet to make proper selections, to prepare well, for the event.

Mr Wagai added, with the deferral of the games, contractors on the ground have also worked hard, and under pressure, to make sure that the deadline is met.

With this in place, construction of facilities on the ground should be ready in time.

He said, although the people of host province have looked forward to hosting the games in November, despite some of them showing frustration, both the Host Organising Committee and PNG Sports Foundation wants to make sure and feel that PNG games next year should be given the same attention like the FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup.
