Ousted OTML chairman Sir Mekere Morauta questionedthe appointment of Isaac Lupari as one ofthe board of directors of Ok Tedi Mining Limited replacing Rex Paki.
He alleged that this a political appointment and urgedthe Prime Minister to come out clear on this and ther appointments and also his motive on taking over allthe shares frofPNG DP.
Yesterday, Isaac Lupari threated legal action against Sir Mekere Morauta for saying he is not eligible for this position because he is currentlythe chief of staff for the Prime Minister’s department.
He urged Sir Mekere to retract his statements asthey are false or face legal actions.
Meantime, Sir Mekere in a conference on Monday sain PNG DP will not back off in its legal pursuit.
Sir Mekere said this is a just cause and he will fight it asthe chairman and a director.
