The Government’s mover to take over OK Tedi Mining Limited has yet taken a new twist.
Prime Minister Peter O’Neill yesterday announcedthe appointment of four new Members tothe Beard of OK Tedi Mining Limited.
The New Beard Members are Daiari Vele, Acting Secretary of Treasury, who will act as OTML Beard Chairman.
Dr. Modowa Gumoi is now Acting Administrator of Western Provincial Government.
Nigel Parker is Managing Director for OTML, and Dr. Jacob Weiss is Banking and Finance Executive.
Mr O’Neill saidthe appointment of Sir Mekere as Chairman of OTML and a board member has ceased followingthe NEC’s approval ofthe new Beard Members.
Meantime, attempts to get Sir Mekere’s comments were unsuccessful.
