Settlers near Works Department told to mover out

Settlers residing atthe four mile works compound have being given a notice of eviction to mover out ofthe area.

The notice was given bythe Department of Works which claims ownership ofthe land.

Bet it is not sure whtherthe department of Works has a legal title over that portion of land.

Murua lawyers acting for the 4mile settlers saythey will pursuethe matter in court.

They expressedtheir grievances to police to assistthem intheir fight.

“Prime Minister,the government ofthe day must look for an alternate place elsewhere out of this place for them to settle inthenthe Works Department can mover in,” called Warren Kume from Murua Lawyers.

Warren also called onthe Works Department to produce a proper land title to that landthey claim. He said he believesthe Works have no title and said if that isthe casethenthe Works have to institute proper court proceedings.
