The Personnel Management Department has announced the substantive appointmen’s for key central agencies in Papua New Guinea.
Personnel Management Department Secretary, John Kali, in an interview with EM TV announced, the new appointmen’s are for the community development and treasury departmen’s.
Anna Solomon was appointed as the Secretary of Community Development, while Dairi Vele was appointed as the Secretary of Treasury.
Mr Kali highlighted that applications were selected, as per requiremen’s, criteria’s and for experiences within the public service system.
Several public service figures were reappointed, including Personnel Management Department Secretary himself, John Kali and Justice Secretary, Lawrence Kalinoe.
Secretary’s positions for Finance and National Planning and Monitoring Departmen’s have been re-advertised.
Two other appointmen’s are for East New Britain and Madang Provincial Administration, which are in the final stages of being processed for consideration by their respective provincial executive council.
Under the new Public Service Management Act 2014, all departmental heads, provincial administrators, chief executive office’s, will now be required to sign the innovated performance management contracts to measure performance and outcomes.
