Following the failed military coup attempt last Friday, Turkish soldiers have started a search operation for escaped rebel soldiers across forestland near the Hotel Marmaris.
The hotel came under attack shortly after the departure of President Tayyip Erdogan, who was vacationing in the holiday resort city.
Soldiers combed surrounding areas of the hotel, searching for those believed to be involved in the attempted coup.
More than 290 people were killed during the violence last Friday evening, with the bloodshed shocking the nation.
The stability of the NATO member state, already rocked by Islamic State bombings, remains fragile for now as the country picks up the pieces following the events of last week.
