Schoolboy Rugby League Concerns

PNGNRL Foundation Chief Executive Officer Bead Tassell saysthe inclusion of Mal Maninga and Darren Lockyer will only boostthe Foundation’s work.

This follows questions raised by local Sporting Administrators onthe high cost of consultancy services.

Mr. Tassell yesterday clariflied issues aboutthe Schoolboy rugby league program andthe involvement of Maninga and Lockyer.

The schoolboy program is into its third year and involves over three hundred thousand students’nationwide.

As one ofthe Rugby League Administrator inthe country, Timothy Lepa questionedthe involvement of high profile international representatives. Lepa is concerned aboutthe cost for their consultancy services.

He also explained that few former Kumul players were already involved in assistingthe program and hope more will join this year andthe coming years.
