Rugby Schoolboys out at camp

ThPNG Rugby League Foundation hosted its first National Schoolboys Elite Development Camp atthe National SportInstitute in Goroka.

The one week program commenced overthe weekend on Sunday.

Over forty schoolboys and twelve coaches participated inthe program. The camp featuresthe best selected boys from local competitions through to Zone andthe National Championships.

These boys formedthe National Elite Squad. They will go into three camps this year and an international tour.

PNG Rugby League Foundation believes thatthe program provide a pathway for schoolboys and will developthem to anther level.

Development officers saidthe program has delivered amazing results.

They said, boys who have been in this program for the past two years are now already at a higher skill levelPNG Rugby League Foundation assured that inthe next three years,these boys will be future Kumul players and will be included inthe Team Kumul Program.
