Rigo applauds O’Neill

The people of Rigo in the Central Province have applauded care taker Prime Minister, Peter O’Neil on his re-elected as the Member for Ialibu-Pangia in the 2012 National Election.

Robert Boio from Boku in inland Rigo said the win by Mr. O’Neil means it’s a win for the people because they will have access to free education and other good polices that his party offers.

Mr Boio who is also a People’s National Congress Party executive for the Central Province believes the Rigo people have already made the right chose to vote for the Party and its policies.

Sitting Member for Rigo, Ano Pala is contesting under the party this election.

Counting for Kairuku Hiri is at Murray Barracks and Rigo is at the Kwikila High School.

Meanwhile, counting for the Central Province has already commenced.

The two electorates Kairuku –Hiri and Rigo District started their first counting yesterday before suspending to today. The other two districts, Abau and Goilala will start today.

Meantime, counting for Rigo Open resumed at one o’clock this afternoon and after count number 2, the results as of 4pm this afternoon is as follows:

Sitting MP Ano Pala leads with 919 votes followed by Kila Raka Daba with 812 and third spot is Turai Elemi at 550.
