For many years, Enga province had been the leader in providing free education – this has enabled many students from Enga to succeed in the education sector.
Now the province is turning its focus towards agriculture.
Recently, the local community of Yapai in the Lagaip-Porgera District, embarked on a Public-Private Partnership with Fresh Produce Development Agency to develop a commercial potato farming project, as well as a potato seed multiplication project.
