Reproductive Health Training Unit Website

The Health Department is also moving to establish a National Training body in Reproductive Health.

ThPNG Reproductive Health Training Unit aims to develop and deliver continued professional development of health workers in reproductive health.

Todaythe Unit launched its website, to provide updated information on reproductive health.

The new website was launched atthe Medical Faculty at Taurama. It is part of a public-private partnership betweenthe health departmentoAusAID, and Oil Search Health Foundation.

Health workers aroundthe country can now access up-to-date information oPNG Training, treatment guidelines, and ther vital information abouttheir professional development.

ThPNGRHTU will slowly take overthe health department’s function of training in reproductive health. It comes in response tothe urgent need to prioritize reproductive health services in PNG

The RHTU was established after The Ministerial Task Force on Maternal Health outlined regular re-training for all workers to keepthem competentocurrent and confident.

Partners AusAID and Oil Search will assist establishthPNG RHTU as a locally owned and managed entity.
