Ramu NiCo gives Road Contract to Locals

Despite being attacked and collecting a damage cost of five million US dollars, Ramu NiCo continues to deliver Projects under its Memorandum of Agreement entitled to landowners.

This week Ramu NiCo’s President, Wang Jincheng offered the Kurumbukari Mine landowners two road maintenance contract and one casual employment contract.

According to the contract, the road work is from South of Ramu Bridge to the New Camp Area and Overhead Tank to Kinimati village.

President Wang signed the contract on behalf of the Company while John Opotio, General Manager of Kurumbukari Limited signed on behalf of KBK landowners.

Both road maintenance contracts are for one year but subject to extension upon the satisfactory delivery of the contract.

Meanwhile, the casual employment contract will see ten locals employed by KBK Ltd and further contracted to KBK Mine site to wok under designated work stations.

KBK landowners Association Chairman, Mathew Denguo thanked Ramu NiCo for the contract and assured that the scope of the contract will be followed closely and project delivered satisfactorily.
