Rabaul Queen Survivors begins class action step

Survivors of the Rabaul Queen disaster are meeting with a team of lawyers in Rabaul to begin the initial steps of a class action against Rabaul Shipping and agencies of government including the National Maritime Safety Authority.

Lawyer Greg Egan met with some of the survivors in Kokopo.

Many of those involved in the case have called for the government to overhaul the shipping industry.
